Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are really great for making big giant cookies. They hold up perfectly and get nice and big and fluffy.

Ingredients
2/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons Spice Islands® pure vanilla extract
3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions
In a large bowl, cream shortening, butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans. Chill for at least 1 hour.
Drop by 1/4 cupfuls at least 1-1/2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack. Yield: 2 dozen.
