Broccoli Salad

2 heads broccoli (1 lb.) chopped into small pieces
1 onion (I only use about 2 tbls.) finely chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup raisins
6 strips of bacon

Sauce:
1 cup mayo- cholesterol free or olive oil kind
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar (red wine or white)
1/2 salt

Mix the sauce together and let sit for an hour. Then pour over the vegie mix. Or you can be like me and make it and then eat it right away because you don't have enough time to wait for an hour (it still tastes great!) I also left out the bacon and it was still really good and healthier.
