To. Die. For. That's all I have to say about these. I'm not usually the biggest fan of bread, but these I love. In fact, I think I'm going to go have another bite of one right now!
1 ½ c. warm water
1 pkg. (2 ½ t.) of yeast
2 T. sugar
Dissolve above ingredients in a bowl.
In a mixer, or large bowl mix:
3 ½ c. flour
½ t. salt
Pour in yeast mixture, mix with dough hook (or kneed by hand for several minutes) until
blended well. Let rise in the bowl for 10 min.
Melt ¾ - 1 stick of butter in a bowl (I found that 1/2 stick was plenty). Set aside.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a 9x13 rectangle. Use a pizza cutter and cut
the dough into 10-12 strips. In the bottom of a 9x13 pan, lightly sprinkle it with garlic
powder and Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb seasoning. Run each dough strip through the
melted butter, and lay in the pan. Sprinkle with garlic powder, Mrs. Dash, Parmesan
cheese, and a little Mozzarella cheese (if desired). I also sprinkled parsley and basil on mine.
Cover with a towel, and let rise 10 min. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
Enjoy!!
