You can never have too many chocolate chip cookie recipes. Love this one! El and I agree this is our favorite. I got it from Valerie's Blog, and included her sweet story about them (no wonder these are her favorite, they were always given with such love).
"These are hands-down the best chocolate chip cookies that I have ever tasted. Sister Rackley had a Thursday baking day and she often brought my family a treat on that day. You see, my younger brothers had about fourteen years of serious health problems and Sister Rackley ministered to us with cookies. She was a such a good friend to my mom... and to us, kids, too."
Chocolate Chip Cookies by Marjean Rackley
1 1/3 cup margarine and/or butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
3 1/4 to 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 pkg 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (optional)
Mix wet then dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-12 minutes.
